At Gearon we endeavour to foster a culture that ensures staff and clients work in a positive, proactive, inclusive, safe and respectful environment.  We engage with staff to ensure our respectful workplace policy is understood and applied to workplace behaviour.  We regularly engage with staff to ensure they are achieving their own work life goals and offer training and advancement.  We encourage communication at all levels, we develop positive relationships and ensure work crews maintain a collaborative culture at all times on site.

Social Procurement

At Gearon we believe strongly in supporting external social enterprises.  We actively engage in the development of a workplace that is inclusive and supportive.

We are a business member of Social Traders and seek to procure product and services through the Social Traders, Supply Nation and Kinaway databases in support of indigenous business and social enterprises.

We have a positive and proactive attitude towards inclusive workforce practices ensuring we have a diverse range of staff.  We support gender equitable employment practices, apprenticeships, cadetships, indigenous workers and disadvantaged jobseekers.  We have a fair and compassionate outlook in regard to the needs of our current employees providing training to enhance work life and we support our employees through illness, non-work-related injury and hardship.  We strongly advocate for mental health awareness.

We have developed the following polices to underpin our commitment to social procurement. Respectful Workplace Policy, Mental Health and Wellbeing Policy, Equal Opportunity and Anti Discrimination Policy.  We strive for continual improvement in Social Procurement activities via our management review and procedural review process.
